Plain language, and accurate to what the product actually does. If anything here doesn't match what you see on the site, tell us — we'd treat that as a bug.

Swimming results are published by Local Swimming Committees on their own websites. We read those published files. We did not collect them from you, and creating an account is not what put a swimmer’s results on this site — they were already public.
What appears from those files: name, age, club, LSC, event, time, and the rankings and Power Points we compute from them. We never display a date of birth and never display a USA Swimming member ID. We don’t ask you for either one at any point.
We don’t ask for a home address, a phone number, a school, or a payment method. There is no billing in the product at all right now.
A swimmer under 13 cannot create their own account here. A parent or guardian creates and owns the account, and for accounts belonging to a child under 13, social features — messaging, video upload, inbound contact from coaches — are off by default.
To be clear about the distinction, because it is the one people ask about: showing a child’s published race result is not the same thing as collecting information from a child. The first is a public competition record, and every swimming results site shows them. The second is what the rules restrict, and it is what we gate.
We don’t sell your data and we don’t share it for advertising. We use a small number of service providers to run the product:
We deliberately keep private things out of our error reports and analytics: notes, goals, email addresses and contact details are never sent to them.
If you are a swimmer, or the parent or guardian of one, and you want a profile removed from SwimMeetIQ, email the contact address on our Trust & data page. We’ll take it down.
One honest limit: we can remove a swimmer from this site, but we cannot unpublish the LSC’s original result file. That document stays where the LSC put it, and other sites reading it may still show the result.
To delete your account — a different thing from removing a profile — email the same address. Self-serve account deletion isn’t built yet, and we’d rather say so than point you at a button that doesn’t exist. See Trust & data for how claiming works.
